Человек играет хорошо.
На гитаре? Да,.. и на гитаре.
Он вчера с войны домой пришёл
весь седой, хотя совсем не старый.
Он пришёл и сел, не сняв шинель,
руки положил он на колени...
Что это? Кино?.. Кино… Верней -
просто песенка спасённым поколеньям.
Человек играет хорошо.
Роль? Да, – роль (в кино, пока не снятом).
Он героя нового нашёл.
Он герою объясняет внятно,
где искать себя, где стыд, где честь.
Как любить, как плакать, как смеяться,
как шептать “спасибо, что ты есть”,
как поверить и не сомневаться.
Человек играет хорошо,
но прекрасней всё же не играет.
Для него давно вопрос решён:
для чего он небо подпирает…
Для чего вернулся он с войны…
Для чего играл в кино и вальсы…
Ну а мы внимать ему вольны -
слушать, чтобы звук не прерывался.
