Запах полыни. Пора отпусков

Напоминания – терзающий нас Дар.
Мы не бежим от них, но ждём всегда с опаской.
Приходят строчками во снах…
… Мой Государь,
Вы испугались? Неужели пляски?
Не стоит: это - блики дальних фар.
Машины едут. Едут мимо.
Мимо.
Так далеко, что не слыхать фанфар
клаксонных.
Государь, Вы так ранимы.
Вы в каждом звуке видите сюжет?
В стоп-кадрах различаете дыханье?
Всё это было много раз уже.
Знак, ожидая, Вы опять не отдыхали?
Который век?
Смятения души
не ведают ни счёта, ни смущенья.
Напоминанье не стремится потушить
на стенах блики перевоплощенья.
Жить ожиданием смешно, мой Государь.
Простительно, ну если только принцам.
Вы верите в двенадцатый удар?
Вы различаете что снится - что не снится?
Так было. Помните?
Вопрос: «В который раз?..»
Мой государь, похоже, Вы не повзрослели.
Тот образ, что сегодня Вас потряс
достоин Ваших слёз, острот, веселья.
Вы, как и встарь, не знаете границ
реальности.
Не распускайте… швы хоть.
Да, - это я.
Опять Вы пали ниц!
Мой Государь, Вы помните?..
