Пока идёт спектакль, пока звучат стихи,
сказать ты можешь так ли боишься шелухи,
слетающей с запястий, когда ты трёшь ладонь,
то думая о счастье, то дуя на огонь.
Ах, Господи, дай силы поверить в торжество
мечты, пусть оросили её… Тех слёз родство
не скрыть с твоим движеньем, с подрагиваньем век.
Главенствует спряженье? Иль всё же человек?
Пока в луче софитов он смотрит в тёмный зал,
пока ещё не квиты мы и он не всё сказал,
есть шанс поверить снова во что-то кроме зла…
Пока взлетает слово, пусть сыпется зола.
